Our Philosophy
At Mountaineers, we are a childcare centre focused on supporting the well-being and belonging of all who join us. We build strong relationships with tamariki/children, parents, and whānau, and aim to create a peaceful, respectful environment with positive, responsive interactions.
We encourage tamariki to respect and love Papatūānuku and to value what she gives to us. We teach sustainable skills to reduce our own carbon footprints throughout daily practices.
Most of all, we believe that tamariki need natural spaces where they are free to explore, learn, contribute and grow, secure in the knowledge that they are respected as individuals and a very important and valued part of our community.
